Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Body is complete, chair frames, dash with replacement gages, engine complete with radiator treated and sealed, oil filter, rebuilt carborator, grill, replacement headlight, four wheels with four spare tires, rebuilt fuel tank with new filter and float. Lots of extra parts and new parts. Project got too much for teenage son and is ready to depart. Physically can rotate pistons, but not rebuilt enough to start. Will need trailer for pick-up. |

Spring is here and a lot of us are getting our projects out and about.

| 1953 Willys Jeep M38A1 CJ5 No Title Project prerry good condition overall. Good frame suspension and driveline. Has 11″ brakes and kind of a disc brake on transfer case. Some military stuff left , tow points, 24 volt generator, msc. Body has the bumps and bruises you would expect. Tool box floor is good but rim lid sits on is rusted. Floor under fuel tank has rust, tank looks good . Drivers floor has rust through on hat channel. Passenger floor looks good but rust in hat channel. Engine ,F-head 4cyc, is disassembled looks to have spun a rod bearing . 3 spd trans and 2 spd t-case feel ok . Battery box rusted through. No drivers seat frame . $2500 |

Technically a 1952 but its currently registered as a 1955 because of a mixup in the 80s. |

This is an original barn-find utility Jeep with classic features, including the side fuel filler, early body style, and a desirable front PTO winch setup. Jeep has been stored for years and is not currently running. It is being sold as-is, exactly as shown. Excellent candidate for restoration, farm/ranch use, or vintage Jeep collection. Early A1 with diagonal seam fenders and hinged grill. Runs very well off a lawnmower tank. Needs brakes and fuel lines to be drivable. Other than the civil defense paint job, very original and complete. We have wet sanded the hood and found the US Army registration numbers. Passenger floorpan needs a little metal, other than that she’s really solid. Clear Indiana title. Located near Owensville IN, can deliiver for a fee. $4500 |
